I've had a reader tell me that they've been unable to access the Arthur, King of Time and Space site for a few days. I've had no trouble and this was the first I've heard of any such. Is there anyone else? Do you get any error message I can take to the hosting service?

A cool thing about my recent habit of drawing the day's The Hero of Three Faces at midnight before going to bed at 02:00 or 03:00 is it means drawing Three Faces is the first thing I do every day, or the last, or both

There's definitely something daunting about having it be a new day and making an incomplete entry in the spreadsheet for coding the webpages and selecting the out-panel protest signs and protesters, and then looking at yet another blank panel with no idea what's going to go in it.

But there's also something wonderful in it. I can do anything I want forever.

There is an automatic redirect in place which I imagine shall exist as long as the site is on this service but you may want to update your bookmarks.

You may remember I started drawing The Hero of Three Faces in a subdirectory of Arthur, King of Time and Space in 2007 because the server space that came with my account at IgLou had run out. I've sometimes wondered in the years since then whether the amount of server space alloted to my account type had expanded, but was never curious enough to actually check. Mucking about today with the new server's control panel to see how it works, I discovered that the existing files only take up about a fifth of what's now allocated. One of the reasons I never looked is because I did't have any ideas for using the space if it was there, but now that I know it's there perhaps I'll come up with something.

Ran the count in my spreadsheet because I thought I remembered a landmark was coming up and found that last Sunday's update was the 2500th The Hero of Three Faces update since 1/1/07.

Checked my website monthly visitor stats yesterday. Unusually, aside from tumblr and a webcomics directory/subscription site that's always there, all the top ten referral sites were in Russian. Usually there’s maybe one.

The top ten search words and the top ten search phrases were almost identical lists, and the terms themselves were either nonsense words or words from a language I can’t even identify, none of which to my knowledge appear on my site. I wonder how that’s done.

These things strike me as more likely unfriendly than friendly.

In other news, as of this morning there are eighteen cartoons in the Hero of Three Faces fall buffer. There have been days the past week or so when I have awoken with the rush that usually comes from updating with a cartoon gag I hadn’t yet written when I awoke. I’m looking forward to the new season.
